Brittany Nichols has spent more than 15 years as a licensed clinical social worker, during which time she has served diverse client populations across juvenile justice, school counseling, outpatient rural health and women’s focused services. Her experience includes providing clinical counseling services to individuals dealing with depression, anxiety, grief, and trauma/stressor-related disorders. She believes in a holistic approach to mental health treatment using theories and interventions such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) in combination with mindfulness and relaxation techniques and psychoeducational interventions.
Brittany holds a bachelor’s degree in social work from the University of North Texas in Denton. She earned her Master of Social Work at Texas A&M University-Commerce. Brittany believes in a client-centered and culturally-sensitive approach to care that promotes optimal health and happiness for each person she advises, with a compassionate approach to supporting women throughout the different stages of their lives.
