- A native of Vietnam, Hang Tran worked for more than a decade in trauma/critical care cardiology, intensive care and general surgery in her country of origin before relocating to the United States in 2011. She became certified as a physician assistant in 2016 after earning her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in Edinburg.
Hang’s experience includes providing inpatient care for adult and pediatric patients. Her areas of special interest and focus include diagnostic evaluation and interpretation using stress and vascular testing for cardiovascular disease, ultrasound, echocardiography, vascular sonogram and other techniques. She also is skilled in central venous catheter placement and intubation. Hang received her cardiology ultrasound certification through the Heart Institute of Vietnam early in her career.
