- Dr. Gebre Tseggay was born in Eritrea. He graduated summa cum laude from Semmelweis University of Medicine in Budapest, Hungary. He completed his internal medicine internship and residency training at St. Barnabas Hospital in Bronx, New York. Dr. Tseggay practiced internal medicine for few years in Queens, New York prior to deciding to dedicate himself to infectious disease care. He completed his infectious diseases fellowship training at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston, Texas and joined the staff of InfectiousCare.
Dr. Tseggay currently participates in the Internal Medicine Residency Training Program of Texas Health Dallas. He has previously served as chairman on the Infection Control Committees of Garland Community Hospital, Doctor’s Hospital and Texas Health Plano.
Dr. Tseggay has been named multiple times among D Magazine’s Best Doctors in infectious disease.
