- Dominecia Maxwell knew at a young age that she wanted to pursue a career in medicine after seeing the beneficial work her mother and four aunts had done in the field. She has been in the medical field since 2014. She is a registered nurse and certified family nurse practitioner with experience in family medicine, women’s health, in-office dermatological procedures and urgent care. Dominecia chose a career in family medicine to care for patients throughout their many life stages. She places a priority on continually learning in the medical field and finding out what shapes each person to help improve patient outcomes.
Dominecia earned her undergraduate and master’s degrees in nursing from The University of Texas at Arlington. Outside of work, she enjoys trying different foods by honing new recipes and visiting various restaurants. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and National Black Nurse Practitioners Association.
