- Karla Medrano has a passion for caring for a culturally diverse patient population and advocating through education, as is evident in her previous medical mission work in Latin America and her service to Spanish-speaking patients through the Good Shepherd Family Ministries of Oklahoma City. She places a priority on striving to make a positive difference in her patients’ lives every day. Karla has worked with heart patients since early 2021, supporting both clinical and interventional cardiologists as a certified physician assistant. Her areas of focus include coronary artery disease, cardiomyopathy, arrhythmias, peripheral artery disease, venous disease and valvular heart disease.
Karla earned her bachelor’s degree in biology at the University of Oklahoma in Norman. She received her master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Methodist University in Fayetteville, N.C. Outside of work, Karla enjoys spending time with loved ones, hiking, traveling and cooking.
