- Dr. Mohammad Khan began his medical career in 2006 working at a medical center in Plattsburgh, N.Y. As a board-certified general surgeon, he is skilled in a variety of common and complex surgical procedures, infection control techniques and wound care practices. In his expansive career, Dr. Khan has performed more than 5,000 surgical procedures, including trauma and emergency surgeries for appendicitis and gallstones. His areas of special interest and focus include comprehensive general surgery, laparoscopy, breast/breast reconstructive surgery and colon surgery. He also is skilled in the use of a hyperbaric chamber for the treatment of wounds and burns, and spent three years overseeing a wound clinic in Harris, N.Y.
Dr. Khan earned his medical degree in Lahore, Pakistan. He completed his general surgery residency at St. Vincent’s University Hospital in New York City. He was chief resident during his final year of training. Dr. Khan is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is fluent in the Urdu, Hindi and Punjabi languages.
