- Dr. Collin Gandillon is a Texas native who grew up in Tyler and completed his undergraduate studies at Texas A&M University in College Station. He headed to the West Indies to complete his medical degree at St. George’s University in Grenada. Dr. Gandillon returned to the states to complete his general surgery internship and residency at Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, N.Y. During his medical training, he also spent time teaching in the medical center’s Department of Surgery.
Dr. Gandillon is fellowship-trained in vascular surgery from Michigan State University and the Michigan Vascular Center in Flint. His areas of special interest and focus include arterial and venous surgical care; stroke prevention; carotid revascularization (stenting) for carotid occlusive disease; and the treatment of DVT blood clots. In addition to being a skilled surgeon, Dr. Gandillon is a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation. The certification signifies that he is trained to evaluate and make reliable diagnoses in vascular disease using noninvasive techniques.
Dr. Gandillon spent several years completing clinical research into stent fractures in patients who have undergone carotid stent placement and the medical management of patients with asymptomatic carotid stenosis. He is a member of the Endovascular Trauma Management Society, Midwestern Vascular Surgical Society and Society for Vascular Surgery.
