This class meets one time for 8 1/2 hours.
Would your babysitter know what to do if your child choked or had a nosebleed? Would he or she know what to say when calling 911? Safe Sitter is a national, medically accurate babysitting preparation course for boys and girls ages 11 to 14. Participants learn how to have fun with children, recognize a medical emergency and know the appropriate action to take. Safe Sitter also teaches tips for handling specific ages, injury prevention, safety and the business of babysitting.
Please bring a sack lunch and drink to class. Drink machines are available if needed but correct change is required. Feel free to bring a light jacket or sweater for your comfort. Your family is invited and encouraged to attend the ceremony at 4:00 pm. Your child will need to be picked up promptly at 4:30 p.m.
Classes will be held in the Community Education Outreach Classroom 2, located north of the hospital. Please park in the parking lot in front of the building.
