Women’s Health Connection
Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano is proud to present Women’s Health Connection, a year-long seminar series dedicated to addressing some of the most pressing issues facing women in regard to their health and health care. Designed solely for women, this is a great chance for you to learn, ask questions and share your experiences with other women. All seminars are held on the third Tuesday of every month.
You are invited to our free health fair immediately preceding Dr. Barta's lecture at 6:00 p.m. Free screenings will be offered for blood pressure, diabetes, stroke, balance and bone density. Educational booths will feature information on nutrition, heart health, breast health, stress management, weight loss, behavioral health and much more!
At 7:00 p.m., Dr. Charisse Barta, a neurologist on the medical staff at Texas Health Plano, will discuss stroke awareness, prevention and the latest treatment options available for stroke. A stroke usually strikes without warning, so it is important to recognize signs and symptoms of stroke and be able to act F.A.S.T!
The event will held at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano, Bluebonnet classroom located in Medical Office Building 2. When you arrive at the hospital, park on the west side of the hospital (closest to Midway Road). Enter Medical Office Building 2 through the sliding glass doors. Take the lobby elevators to the first floor. When you exit the elevators you will see the classroom directly across from the elevators.
Seating is limited. If you find you are unable to attend, please call 1-877-THR-WELL (1-877-847-9355), so your seat can be released to someone on the waitlist.
