Aphasia Support Group: A support group for
patients and families who have experienced a loss of
communication skills following a stroke, brain injury or disease.
This group meets at 11:30 a.m. on the third Friday of each month
in the Heart Center South Classroom (Classroom S). For more

Better Breather Club: A support group for
patients and families with chronic lung problems, including
emphysema, bronchitis and asthma. Meets at 1 p.m. on the first

p.m. on the second Thursday of each month in the hospital's

Cardiac Rehabilitation Support Group: Meetings
of the Cardiac Rehabilitation Support Group are intended for
anyone who has ever been diagnosed with any form of heart disease
or who has had an ICD. They are free of charge. If you are interested in

Diabetes Support Group: The Lance-a-Lot Diabetes Support group is designed to provide self-management support for adults who are living with diabetes, and is open to family members, friends, or anyone interested in learning more about diabetes. Meetings are held on the fourth Thursday each month from 7 to 8 p.m., with two exceptions: November meeting is on the second Thursday and there is no meeting in December. Group: A program for sharing information and experiences

Living Well with Heart Failure Support Group:
Meets every third Monday from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Meetings are free
and everyone is welcome. The first 30-45 minutes are interactive
education programs taught by professionals skilled in heart
failure management. The last 15-30 minutes include time to share

Parkinson's Support Group meets from 3 to 4 p.m.
on the second Thursday of every ODD month at the Heart Center

Renal Transplant Program Kidney Support Group
meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 6 p.m. in
Classroom C of the Rutledge Education Center.

Stroke Folks: Formed in 2002 and led by Marc
Stevens, a stroke survivor, Stroke Folks helps survivors and
their loved ones understand the physical and emotional changes
accompanying a stroke and promote the healing process. Monthly
newsletters are sent to participants providing information about
the program and topics to be covered in the upcoming meetings.
Stroke Folks meets at 4 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month.
