At Texas Health, our Mission is to improve the health of the people in the communities we serve. The graduate medical education (GME) training programs we offer at Texas Health are key to this Mission and represent a critical component of what we can do for the community we serve today, tomorrow and many decades into our future.

GME programs at Texas Health are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education, an acknowledgement of the quality medical residency experience we offer. Like the breadth and depth of diversity in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, each of our programs has its own unique attributes. While we celebrate the distinctive qualities of each, we underpin all programs with Texas Health’s goal to develop well-trained, compassionated, trusted physicians to serve our diverse communities. Here, you will find preparation for a lifetime of quality, compassionate care for others.

Texas Health is the largest health system in North Texas in terms of patients served. That means that our Mission has impacted more people than any other System in North Texas, empowering us to serve as a beacon for both hope and healing. The size of our System ensures a clinical learning environment rich in patient volume, acuity and pathology that will serve our residents well as they prepare for board certification and successful careers in the practice of medicine. The Mission of our System ensures that residents are equipped with the tools needed to deliver a lifetime of compassionate care.

To those who are now seeking a residency, the second phase of the medical education continuum, rest assured that Texas Health is a place where you find the rigor you need with the environment that promotes you being at your best.

While I am, of course, proud of the rigor and preparation for future successful careers our programs offer, I am perhaps most proud of the warm reception our residents receive. Here at Texas Health, you are valued, appreciated and recognized as key to our Mission as we improve the health of the communities we serve.
