Texas Health is accepting applications for the position of Program Director for the Texas Health Hurst-Euless-Bedford Internal Medicine Residency in growing and vibrant Dallas/Fort Worth, TX.

The Texas Health Harris Methodist Hurst-Euless-Bedford Internal Medicine Residency Program is located in Bedford, Texas - a suburb of Fort Worth, Texas. The Residency welcomed its first cohort of 20 residents in July 2022 and the second cohort in July 2023. In addition to completing clinical rotation at Texas Health Hurst-Euless-Bedford, residents also complete clinical rotations at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Denton. The mission of the Residency is to train well-rounded, compassionate physicians who ultimately become contributing members to the field of internal medicine by creating an exceptional training program that prepares residents with the knowledge, skills, and behaviors to provide high quality care to patients in the community. The Residency is Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)-accredited and is sponsored by Texas Health Resources, the highest-ranked health system in the U.S. on Fortune’s 2021 100 Best Companies to Work For® list and is affiliated with the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School of Dallas, Texas and the Anne Burnett Marion School of Medicine at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas.

Are you who we're looking for?

  • MD or DO medical degree is required.
  • At least three (3) years documented educational and/or administrative abilities; or possess qualifications acceptable to the ACGME's Internal Medicine Residency Review Committee is required. Possessing specialty expertise and demonstrated clinical competence is required. Prior experience as a Program Director is preferred.
  • Certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM).
  • Must be appointed, or eligible to be appointed, as a medical staff member, with unrestricted credentials within Texas Health Resources and be licensed, or able to obtain a license, to practice medicine in the State of Texas.
