Your Baby's First Checkup

Even when you’re freshly home from the hospital after childbirth, it’s important to have scheduled a checkup for your baby with his or her healthcare provider by the end of the first week. Your doctor will want to be certain that all is going well right from the beginning.

Even before your appointment, don’t hesitate to call your doctor’s office or our hospital with any questions or concerns—especially about breastfeeding—during the first days.
