Feeding a 3-year-old

Serve your 3-year-old about half of the portion size you eat as an adult.

  • Provide about 2 oz. of protein per day, with 1 oz. coming from meat and the other from eggs, milk and cheese.
  • Offer vegetables and fruit at each meal and snack time.
  • Have your child help choose and prepare her meals. She’ll be a more willing diner!
