It’s been an amazing year at Texas Health, and we’ve had some great stories to tell. From a baby born in our parking lot to lives being changed through medical care, we’ve told these stories on our social media channels throughout 2022. Here are some of our favorites, in no particular order. We hope you had a great year and wish everyone a happy 2023!

  1. Texas Health Fort Worth made history by becoming the first facility in the U.S. to earn The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval for Neurotrauma Certification.

  2. Alfredo Ramirez and his pregnant wife, Andrea, were about 50 yards away from making it inside Texas Health HEB. Their son didn't want to wait.

  3. Nurses from our hospitals dressed NICU babies up in the cutest Halloween costumes.

  4. Bobbi Berg was strongly considering skipping her yearly mammogram, so the 78-year-old Azle woman questioned her friends at their weekly domino game. Thanks to their good advice, she was able to catch breast cancer early and is now cancer-free.

  5. The Jane and John Justin Tower opened at Texas Health Fort Worth.

  6. Say hello to Texas Health Alliance's first set of triplets!

  7. Texas Health Rockwall opened a new NICU and postpartum floor.

  8. Labor and delivery nurses at Texas Health Fort Worth took a break to play in the snow after delivering a flurry of 22 babies in 24 hours!

  9. Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas has been designated as a Level I Trauma Center, which recognizes a nearly decade long strategy to provide advanced care to severely injured patients in North Texas. Texas Health Dallas is one of only 20 Level I Trauma facilities in Texas.

  10. After a two-year pause because of the pandemic, the Kupferle Comprehensive Breast Center Bra Art Competition came back. Contestants created or decorated a bra that shares how breast cancer has impacted their life.
