Because she needs more frequent doctor’s visits and a bit more TLC, Carol emphasizes that she appreciates the attentiveness and respect that’s shown during each appointment. The couple also notes things like the responsiveness of the staff as being especially “refreshing.” It’s a level of access and communication that has helped the Vetrones feel supported not only during visits, but between them as well.

“Melissa, the practice manager, is phenomenal,” Gary says. “When I first requested an appointment, within 24 hours we were able to meet and reconnect with Dr. Ouyang. And he’s always on call. The time and compassion taken with you is just great.”

For Gary, enrolling in the concierge care program through Texas Health felt like a natural next step for the couple’s primary care. Carol continues to see Ouyang as needed for preventative services and management of her chronic health condition. Together, the couple is confident that support is always available when appropriate.
