Established in 1998, the InBalance program serves people with balance and vestibular problems. The program is located in the Mabee Rehabilitation Center at Texas Health Fort Worth.
Symptoms of balance or vestibular problems include:
- Unsteadiness with walking
- Loss of balance
- Dizziness
- Poor coordination
- Vision changes
- Hearing changes
Staff The InBalance program services are provided by licensed physical therapists with additional training and education in the diagnosis and treatment of balance and vestibular disorders.
Technology In addition to the therapists' knowledge and experience, the Mabee Rehabilitation Center has an Equitest Balance Master. This computerized testing equipment evaluates an individual's balance by comparing their score with others in their specific age range.
This equipment, as well as additional specialized balance and vestibular tests, allows physical therapists to provide individualized care and clearly document improvements in balance.

- Improve balance
- Increase safety with mobility
- Decrease symptoms of dizziness
- Improve function in daily activities
- Educate clients to improve safety and reduce risk of falling
- Provide community-service screenings to identify those with balance problems who may benefit from physical therapy or other medical follow-up

Parking Free parking is available in the visitors parking garage which is connected to the hospital. Valet parking is also available as needed, and free to out patient rehabilitation patients as well as individuals with handicap placards.
