Cancer Survivorship Rehabilitation Program

The after effects of cancer treatment can significantly impact a patient’s quality of life. In 2013, Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano received STAR (Survivorship Training and Rehabilitation) Program® Certification from Oncology Rehab Partners through implementation of evidenced-based education and training programs to develop and support oncology rehabilitation services.

The Texas Health Plano Cancer Rehabilitation Program offers cancer survivors customized rehabilitation programs with a focus on managing treatment-related conditions. Survivorship rehabilitation at Texas Health Plano can help minimize or eliminate symptoms associated with cancer and its treatment such as:

  • Pain
  • Fatigue
  • Loss of strength
  • Cognitive impairment
  • Sleep difficulties
  • Nutrition problems
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
