Community Affairs Through community benefit grants and sponsorships, Texas Health builds strong relationships in the communities we serve. Developing and maintaining partnerships with nonprofit agencies whose mission, vision and values are aligned with our own, enables us to fulfill our mission of improving the health of the communities we serve.
Community Health and Improvement As a nonprofit health care system, Texas Health meets and exceeds all state and federal legal requirements mandating the provision of community benefit by tax-exempt, not-for-profit health care organizations.
Faith and Spirituality Through Pastoral Care, Texas Health connects faith community representatives with their hospitalized members upon request, provides a variety of support groups for community members and provides wide variety of educational opportunities and experiences for faith leaders through the Attending Clergy Association and Clinical Pastoral Education Programs. Pastoral Care also partners with nursing to assist and support local faith communities with establishing and sustaining Faith Community Nursing programs.
Government Affairs and Advocacy Texas Health Resources recognizes that public policy efforts at the local, state, and federal levels have a direct impact on the viability of our ability to advance the overall health and well-being of the people in the communities in which we serve. Our purpose is to advocate for Texas Health in the public policy arena to enhance health care delivery and strengthen the capacity of the organization to achieve its mission and vision.
