Advanced Pregnancy Care
When your pregnancy requires a bit more care, the Margot Perot Center offers an inpatient unit dedicated solely to caring for women experiencing high-risk pregnancies. Patients in the high-risk obstetrical unit receive personalized care that provides integrated health care services related to the complications of pregnancy and the unborn infant. These complications may be medical or obstetrical; thus the care provided is multidisciplinary and multifaceted. The unit’s private rooms are designed to ease the hospital experience and provide comfort and convenience with amenities like personal refrigerators, DVD players and other furnishings for those who may have a longer-than-expected stay. For long-term patients, the hospital coordinates pet visits through a pet therapy program to help reduce the effects of isolation.
