Educational Events and Survivorship Offerings

Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth offers a number of cancer prevention and early detection services, along with several support programs and special events to provide education and support.

Survivorship

STEPS to Surviving Breast Cancer
Helping the survivor and the people who love her understand the emotional changes accompanying breast cancer is the goal of the STEPS to Surviving Breast Cancer series. The free series offers an innovative combination of social, therapeutic, educational and person-directed support to promote the healing process for its participants.The program covers a variety of educational topics and features professional expert speakers.


STEPS is designed for both the breast cancer survivor and those individuals involved in her life, although it is not necessary to have others attend. Classes are held in the Klabzuba Cancer Center.

Let's Talk on Tuesdays about Prostate Cancer

Is an informal, survivor led chat seesion that allow men to:

  • Learn about treatment options and questions to ask your doctor
  • Receive reassurance and support to face treatments
  • Learn about support groups and educational classes offered for free

Let's Talk on Tuesdays is held on Tuesdays from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., come and go as you please with no appointment necessary, and is located in the Cancer Resource Center on the Klabzuba Tower Ground Floor. Follow this link, to print off a map and directions.
