FORT WORTH, Texas — Texas Health is pleased to announce that Amy L. Papst, M.D., M.S.-H.C.T., has been named chief quality and medical officer at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth effective March 7.

Papst served as chief medical officer (CMO) at Ascension Seton Medical Center, Austin, from 2016 to the present. Under her leadership, Ascension expanded Graduate Medical Education to more than 36 residency and fellowship programs. She also made significant quality improvements in reduction of hospital-acquired infections and achieved the highest medical staff engagement and satisfaction scores in the Seton Family Healthcare system. She has a strong background in informatics and electronic health record platforms.
Papst is a board-certified anesthesiologist. She completed both medical school and residency at the University of Arizona. She completed her Master of Science degree in Health Care Transformation at the University of Texas at Austin while serving as CMO at Ascension.
