ARLINGTON, Texas — Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas and Texas Rehabilitation Hospital of Fort Worth have been rated among the top physical rehabilitation centers in Texas by Newsweek magazine, according to annual rankings produced in partnership with Statista Inc., a global market research firm.
The publication ranked Texas Rehabilitation Hospital of Fort Worth, a partnership between LifePoint Health and Texas Health Resources, at No. 13 in Texas, followed by Texas Health Dallas at No. 14.
The America's Best Physical Rehabilitation Centers 2022 rankings highlight the nation's top inpatient rehabilitation facilities (IRFs) based on quality of care, quality of service, quality of follow-up care, accommodations and amenities.
Newsweek honored 255 inpatient facilities overall, based on the results of an online survey of over 4,400 experts on physical rehabilitation. Twenty-nine facilities in Texas were ranked.
According to Newsweek, the 25 states with the most facilities received individual honors, and the remaining states were grouped into four regions: Northeast, Midwest, West and South. For the first time, physical rehabilitation centers from every state were included.

According to Newsweek, millions of Americans sustain musculoskeletal injuries that last longer than three months. About a million people nationwide are expected to undergo surgery to replace a knee or hip joint. Identifying high-quality physical therapy for consumers is the focus of these rankings.
In July, Texas Health Dallas was ranked among the best hospitals in DFW by U.S. News & World Report. Texas Health Dallas tied for the No. 3 rank in DFW and tied for 14th in Texas; it was rated as high performing in COPD, colon cancer surgery, diabetes, heart attack, heart failure, hip replacement, kidney failure, knee replacement, ovarian cancer surgery and stroke.
Earlier this year, Texas Health Dallas was designated as a Level I Trauma Center by the Texas Department of State Health Services for providing advanced care to severely injured patients in North Texas.
