ARLINGTON, Texas — Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital has received The Joint Commission® Advanced Certification for Total Hip and Knee Replacement. This is the first time the hospital has received this recognition.
“This certification is a symbol of our commitment to quality care and patient safety,” said Blake Kretz, president of Texas Health Arlington Memorial. “We take pride in our hospital goal of providing the best in orthopedic care and we’ve built a quality team of caregivers – from orthopedic surgeons and others on the medical staff to nurses.”
The certification, offered in collaboration with the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the American Joint Replacement Registry, verifies that healthcare organizations develop consistent communication and that their providers collaborate in the care of the patient. It provides a framework to improve patient outcomes, as well as demonstrate a commitment to a higher standard of clinical service.
More North Texans rely on Texas Health for their joint care. Orthopedic specialists and surgeons on the medical staffs offer preventive medicine, orthopedic care and joint health, and wellness-based services, in addition to sports medicine.
