While COVID is no longer a health emergency, the virus remains a threat.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and Pfizer have updated the current U.S. Government Patient Assistant Program operated by Pfizer (USG PAP) agreement. This agreement allows Medicare patients who are prescribed Paxlovid to continue to receive the medication at no cost through Feb. 28, 2025, using the current USG PAP workflow already in place. For more information, including Medicare and Medicaid patients, click here.

If you or someone you know is diagnosed with COVID or influenza, consider using the treatments locator to find medication nearby to treat mild or moderate illness. The Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR) launched an online tool to help locate sites that have medications in stock to treat either COVID or influenza. Check out the locator here.

At Texas Health, we support this effort to make sure everyone gets the COVID and influenza treatments they need, when they need it.
