ARLINGTON, Texas — Seven Texas Health Resources hospitals have been named 2026 High Performing hospitals for Maternity Care by U.S. News & World Report. The High Performing recognition is the highest award that can be earned as part of the annual study.

“Texas Health is committed to delivering exceptional, comprehensive care for mothers and newborns. Clinical excellence is our highest priority,” said Barclay Berdan, FACHE, CEO of Texas Health. “Our dedicated care teams work tirelessly to ensure safe, high-quality care and outstanding experiences for families across North Texas.”

“We are proud of receiving these designations,” said Joshua Floren, FACHE, chief operating officer, Hospital Channel. “Our teams care for individuals across their entire lives – from complex medical treatments for stroke, heart and vascular conditions to ensuring every family experiences the safest, most memorable beginnings for their newest members.”

U.S. News began evaluating maternity care hospitals in 2021, rating facilities that provide labor and delivery services and submit detailed data to the publication for analysis. For 2026 consideration, about 900 hospitals nationwide submitted maternity data for evaluation.

Best Hospitals for Maternity Care ratings are intended to assist expectant parents, in consultation with their prenatal care providers, in making informed decisions about where to receive maternity services that best meet their family’s needs.
