ARLINGTON, Texas — Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital has been recognized as a 2024-2025 High Performing Hospital for Maternity Care. This is U.S. News & World Report’s Best Hospitals for Maternity Care’s highest award.
The High Performing designation recognizes quality maternity care as measured by factors such as severe unexpected newborn complication rates, birthing-friendly practices and transparency on racial/ethnic disparities.

“This designation reflects our continued commitment to providing comprehensive maternal and infant care to families in the communities we serve,” said Blake Kretz, FACHE, president of Texas Health Arlington Memorial.
More than 1,500 babies were delivered at Texas Health Arlington Memorial in 2023.
The hospital provides comprehensive care for mothers, with programs focused on healthy pregnancies, including breastfeeding support, education and noninvasive therapies to prevent unnecessary C-sections, as well as medical and surgical treatments for complex obstetrical conditions.
Texas Health Arlington Memorial also has a Level III neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), providing comprehensive care for infants born at all gestational ages and birth weights, with mild to complex critical conditions or medical problems.
U.S. News & World Report evaluated 817 hospitals across the United States. Only half of those evaluated for the publication’s 2025 ratings were recognized as Best Hospitals for Maternity Care.
U.S. News & World Report began evaluating maternity care hospitals in 2021, rating medical facilities that provide labor and delivery services and submit detailed data to the publication for analysis. Best Hospitals for Maternity Care designations assist expectant parents, in consultation with their prenatal care team, in making informed decisions about where to receive maternity services that best meets their family’s needs.
The Best Hospitals for Maternity Care methodology is based on objective measures of quality, including C-section rates in lower-risk pregnancies and exclusive breastfeeding rates.
