“I am grateful for the honor of inclusion on this list, but even more for the privilege of being able to contribute to the Texas Health Mission,” Masica said.

ARLINGTON, Texas — Texas Health Resources is proud to announce that Chief Medical Officer Andrew Masica, M.D., MSCI, has been recognized by Modern Healthcare as one of the 50 Most Influential Clinical Executives for 2025.

Honorees are licensed clinicians in executive roles who are recognized by Modern Healthcare for their exceptional achievements in driving innovation, improving outcomes, serving their communities and demonstrating exemplary leadership both within and beyond their organizations.

“I am grateful for the honor of inclusion on this list, but even more for the privilege of being able to contribute to the Texas Health Mission,” Masica said. “The commitment of Texas Health care team members combined with the organization’s supportive culture creates an environment conducive to doing life’s best work.”

Masica helps guide deployment of evidence-based practices to promote consistent delivery of high-quality, safe care across the Texas Health continuum. He also has system-level oversight of clinical service line programs, medical staff affairs, academic collaborations, research activities, and graduate medical education (GME). During Masica’s tenure, the Texas Health GME platform has expanded to five residency programs (and more than 150 resident positions).

Outside of Texas Health, Masica is engaged in regional and national initiatives to improve care delivery and promote health care workforce training. As one notable example, he is actively involved in the Dallas-Fort Worth Hospital Council (an organization with more than 80 hospital members), leading the Chief Medical Officer affinity group in addition to a recent appointment on the organization’s foundation board.

“We are proud that Andy is being recognized for the talent and impact we see from him each day,” said Winjie Miao, chief operating officer of Texas Health. “He exemplifies our Mission of improving the health of the people in the communities we serve.”

Detailed profiles of all the honorees are featured in the June 9 issue of Modern Healthcare and online at ModernHealthcare.com/50Most.
