DALLAS, Texas, — Menopause is a vital but often under-discussed topic. To give women the opportunity to learn from healthcare experts and others, Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas is launching a menopause support group, starting Nov. 6.

The physician-led group will meet each quarter, with the first session guided by Jane Nokleberg, M.D., an OB-GYN on the medical staff at Texas Health Dallas.

“Our first session will focus on symptoms, treatment options and the role of hormone replacement therapy. Women will have the opportunity to engage in open discussions, fostering a sense of community and shared understanding,” said Nokleberg. “Menopause brings physical and emotional challenges, and we want women to feel comfortable asking questions.”

Each session will feature a pelvic floor specialist along with different healthcare professionals who specialize in women's health and will share lifestyle changes that can help manage symptoms and improve well-being during perimenopause and menopause.

“There is currently nothing like it in this community, and we hope this group will provide a safe space for women to have meaningful conversations while also receiving expert guidance,” said Anna Kucuk, M.S.N., R.N., CBC, director of Women and Infants Services at Texas Health Dallas.

The group is open to all women experiencing perimenopause or menopause, regardless of their stage in the journey. To register for the class, click here.
