ARLINGTON, Texas — Great Place To Work® and Fortune magazine have selected Texas Health Resources as one of the 2025 Fortune Best Workplaces for Women™. This is the organization’s ninth time being named to the list, ranking No. 41 this year.
“We are honored to be recognized for our strong workplace culture,” said Barclay Berdan, FACHE, CEO. “At Texas Health, we have created and continue to cultivate an environment where everyone feels respected, acknowledged, supported, valued and empowered to perform their best life’s work.”
Texas Health was ranked No. 41 among 100 large organizations. To determine the Best Workplaces for Women, Great Place To Work analyzed the survey responses of nearly 605,000 women who work for Great Place To Work Certified™ companies that were eligible for the list. To be considered, a company must employ at least 50 women, have women in at least 20% of its nonexecutive manager roles, and have at least one female C-suite executive.
The Best Workplaces for Women list is highly competitive. Survey responses reflect a comprehensive picture of the workplace experience. Honorees were selected based on their ability to offer positive outcomes for women regardless of job role.
Great Place To Work measured the experience of women at participating companies and compared those results to their peers within the organization. The best companies create great work experiences for all women, from the frontline to the C-Suite.
“We live by Our Texas Health Promise: Individuals Caring For Individuals, Together, and being mindful and considerate of people and their life experiences and beliefs is central to that,” said Carla Dawson, chief people officer at Texas Health.
Texas Health supports career growth with leadership development programs, mentoring, continuing education and programs to learn new skills while working. The organization also offers reimbursement of tuition and fees for approved degree plans.
Texas Health has enhanced employee benefits by doubling paid parental leave to six weeks for new mothers and fathers, increasing adoption assistance to $10,000 and adding an extra paid day off for employees to use as they wish.
Employees systemwide also have access to a well-rounded selection of wellness programs that can help them achieve a healthy and balanced life. They also get a generous 401(k) program with company match and paid time off that additionally covers volunteer work in their communities.
Earlier this year, Texas Health ranked No. 33 on Fortune’s 100 Best Companies to Work For® list in 2025 — the highest among healthcare systems recognized. Last month, Texas Health ranked No. 1 on the 2025 Fortune Best Workplaces in Health Care™ list. It was the organization’s 11th year on the list and its 10th time topping the nationwide rankings.
