Keeping in line with our mission to improve the health of the people in the communities we serve, Texas Health’s participation in Heart Walk provides funding for the AHA to implement programs, provide education and support research to create healthier communities and serves as a foundation to ignite our mission.

Everyone is welcome! Heart Walk is a fun event to participate in with family, friends and loved ones.

Choose one of three walks – Dallas, Fort Worth or Denton. Each walk offers a one-mile route or a three-mile route. This is a wonderful opportunity for your family, friends and Texas Health colleagues to join together in the fight against heart diseases and stroke.

Heart Walks

• Heart Walk Top Walkers who raise $1,000+ will receive VIP treatment – special parking, swag bag, special gifts, recognition and more at the walk.

Event Details

• 8 a.m. – Texas Health Walker tent opens
• 8:30 a.m. – Team Photo at the Texas Health Tent
• 9 a.m. – Walk begins

Stop by the Texas Health walker tent for morning snacks, coffee and activities. Lunch will not be served.

Event will go on rain or shine.

Two routes at Heart Walk: 3 mile and 1 mile with water stations along the routes.

The Walk is family-friendly, for children of all ages. Strollers are permitted if needed for small children. Pet-friendly.

Fundraising

We will be walking alongside thousands of Texas Health employees, family and friends at the Dallas, Denton and Tarrant County Heart Walks. Thank you for your support as we strive to achieve our fundraising goal of $300,000 and further the mission of the American Heart Association.

Registration

Each Texas Health location (both wholly owned and joint ventures) has two goals:

• Recruit walkers to show our support of the Heart Walks
• Raise funds to support awareness and education programs

Calling the Sea of Green

We want to show our support with a “sea of green” at the Heart Walk again this year. Please wear your green “Committed to Community” T-shirt. Most walkers should already have a T-shirt since this is the seventh year we have worn this shirt at the Heart Walks. Those who wish to purchase T-shirts for themselves or their friends and family members can do so by ordering from the Texas Health Brand Store.
