Ear Nose and Throat

Ear, nose and throat (ENT) surgery comprises many different types of surgical procedures and spans over all age groups, regardless of gender or ethnicity. At Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Hurst-Euless-Bedford, otolaryngologists (ear, nose and throat physicians) on the medical staff perform various procedures, including, but not limited to:

  • Balloon SinuplastyTM
  • Septoplasty: Correction of a deviated nasal septum
  • Tonsillectomies: Removal of tonsils
  • Adenoidectomy: Removal of adenoids
  • Myringotomy: Insertion of ear tubes to drain fluid in persons with chronic ear infections
  • Tympanostomy: Reconstruction of the ear drum
  • Cochlear implants: Implantation of a device to stimulate nerve ends within the inner portion of the ear to enable hearing
  • Radical neck dissection: A surgical operation used to remove cancerous tissue in the head and neck
