La Leche League of Bedford meets at 7:15 p.m. on the second Monday of each month at the Edwards Cancer Center, between the Central Drive and Westpark Way exits on the south side of Highway 183. La Leche League is an international, non-profit, non-sectarian, organization dedicated to providing education, information, support, and encouragement to women who want to breastfeed. Lymphedema Support Group: The Lymphedema Support Group provides an opportunity for individuals to share information concerning lymphedema therapy protocols, nutrition, diet and exercise. Different speakers make presentations on various topics. The goal is to provide participants with information on how to better manage their condition. Individuals with lymphedema, or those who are at risk for developing lymphedema, are encouraged to attend. Mended Hearts Support Group: Sharing experiences with others who have gone through much of the same thing can be an important link in the chain of treatment, recovery and living a healthy lifestyle. Mended Hearts is an education and support group for people and their families who live with heart disease or other heart problems. The group meets every other month.
