ARLINGTON, Texas— Patients visiting Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano can now add an advanced breast imaging technology — 3D mammography — to a traditional digital mammogram for $99.
New 3D mammography is improving the way doctors screen for potential breast cancers. Women screened with 3D mammography, called breast tomosynthesis, have shown a 47 percent increase in cancer detection compared to 2D mammography alone, according to a recent study. MORE

Women's Diagnostic Center
The Sue A. de Mille Women's Diagnostic Center at Texas Health Plano offers women advanced medical technology in a compassionate and comfortable environment. We understand the anxiety associated with having a medical exam, so we've developed a warm, professional and feminine environment at the center. You'll appreciate how the soothing music, comfortable furnishings and classy design help make each visit a calming experience.
Physicians on the medical staff screen and diagnose breast diseases with some of the most sophisticated equipment available today. The Lorad digital mammography system at the center allows physicians on the medical staff to find smaller cancers earlier than when using conventional screen-film technology. The center also has a computer-aided detection system which uses new technology to search for patterns that are typically recognized as indicators for cancer. Sonography and breast magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) are also available to aid in the screening and diagnosing of breast cancer.
