System also recognized for Excellence in Mental Health and Excellence in Health Inclusion

ARLINGTON, Texas — Texas Health Resources is one of 56 companies nationwide honored with the prestigious Business Group on Health Best Employers: Excellence in Health & Well-being award for an exemplary commitment to caring for employees through meaningful, innovative benefits and initiatives.

Business Group on Health Best Employers

This is the 17th consecutive year that Texas Health has been honored by Business Group on Health.

Texas Health received two additional recognitions this year from Business Group on Health.

  • The system was honored for Excellence in Mental Health for making a strong impact on its workforce and taking a holistic approach to benefits, programs and policies that address the continuum of mental health needs.
  • The Excellence in Health Inclusion honor cited Texas Health’s efforts to make sure all employees can reach their full health potential.

“We are proud to be recognized for our deep commitment to the well‑being of our care team members and for continually investing in programs that support them – body, mind and spirit,” said Carla Dawson, chief people officer for Texas Health. “Our strong culture is rooted in Our Texas Health Promise: Individuals Caring For Individuals, Together.”

The Business Group on Health award criteria assesses candidates on their ability to make an impact across five categories: leadership, culture and well-being strategy; holistic well-being which includes physical, mental and financial well-being plus social connectedness, job satisfaction, flexibility and time away; engagement and employee experience; health inclusion and social determinants; and metrics and evaluation.
