Hospitals recognized for achievement in patient experience

ARLINGTON, Texas — Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southwest Fort Worth and Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Kaufman have been named 2025 Human Experience (HX) Guardian of Excellence Award® winners by Press Ganey, the global leader in healthcare experience solutions and services.

The awards are part of Press Ganey’s annual ranking of the top hospitals and health systems in the country according to performance in patient experience. Texas Health Southwest and Texas Health Kaufman are ranked by Press Ganey in the top 5% of healthcare providers delivering outpatient care in 2025.

“We’re proud to receive these awards, affirming our commitment to delivering safe, high-quality care for North Texans,” said Joshua Floren, FACHE, chief operating officer, Hospital Channel. “At Texas Health, we put consumers at the center of everything we do and strive to improve the health of every community we serve.”

The Press Ganey awards recognize how excellent patient care is being delivered at Texas Health Kaufman and Texas Health Southwest. That focus starts with hiring care team members who are passionate about caring for others and creating a positive, compassionate environment in which patients come first.

“Every interaction is an opportunity to create a lasting impact on the patient experience,” said Bianca Radney, vice president of Patient and Family Experience. “At Texas Health, each team member has the power to make a difference – whether answering a call, offering a warm welcome, caring at the bedside, or simply sharing a smile in the hallway.”

Care teams at Texas Health Southwest achieved patient excellence in the laboratory, ultrasound, breast care/imaging and nuclear medicine departments, according to patient surveys. At Texas Health Kaufman, employees achieved near perfect patient experience results in the areas of nuclear medicine, laboratory, health education, echocardiogram and mammography.

“When patient experience is prioritized, patients feel deeply cared for — not just clinically, but emotionally,” Radney said. “Patient feedback describes experiences that went beyond clinical care into creating meaningful human connection. Our teams work together to care for patients each day and demonstrate a high-performing culture of patient-centered care.”
