Shawn Parsley, D.O.
President and Chief Operations Officer
Shawn D. Parsley, D.O., was named president of Texas Health Physicians Group (THPG) in October 2013 after becoming a member of the group in January 2011.
In this role, Parsley works closely with Texas Health Resources’ chief clinical officer and senior executive vice president, as well as its zone leadership, to develop and implement the system’s physician-directed population health strategy. Parsley also oversees THPG clinical operations, physician engagement, recognition and human resources-related issues.
In May 2018, his role was expanded to also be the chief operating officer with oversight of all THPG operations as well as leadership of Texas Health Organization for Physicians. He will also continue serving in a leadership role for Southwestern Health Resources.
Before joining THPG, Parsley served in leadership positions with Medical Edge Healthcare Group. Previously, he served in the U.S. Army and was quickly elevated to chief of clinics for the largest outlying health clinic in the Europe Regional Medical Command. He has served on a number of boards and committees both within Texas Health and in private business.
Parsley received his undergraduate degree from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas, before graduating from the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth. He completed residency and internship at the Osteopathic Medical Center.
Lynn Myers, M.D.
Chief Medical and Quality Officer
Lynn Myers, M.D., is the chief medical and quality officer for Texas Health Physicians Group (THPG). In this role, she leads quality initiatives/outcomes, clinical resource utilization, use of clinical information technology, medical education and physician performance monitoring for physician practices within THPG. She is instrumental in Texas Health Resources and THPG’s efforts to improve safety and quality through training and education.
In addition, Myers provides leadership for system strategic quality initiatives, including Patient-Centered Medical Home and NCQA physician recognitions. She delivers education on coding and documentation to THPG providers and provides clinical input to the compliance department.
Myers joined THPG in January 2011 as a medical director of EMR, coding and medical education. She went on to become vice president of quality, coding and education in July 2016. In this role, she was instrumental in working on quality measurements at THPG to help improve and reduce variance in strategic patient outcomes relevant to both our key performance improvements and in compliance with accountable care organization contracts.
Before joining THPG, Myers was a primary care physician for 20 years in Coppell. She currently serves as the Chair of the Southwestern Health Resources Physician Network Quality Committee and Chair of the THPG Quality and Safety Committee. Myers is also certified as a professional coder and in Healthcare Compliance.
Myers received her undergraduate and medical degree from the University of Oklahoma. She completed her family practice residency at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth.
