Scam Emails Using the MyChart Name
We are aware of scam emails that appear to come from MyChart. Some may offer a free "MyChart Medicare Kit," "Senior Health Package," or other gift and ask you to click a link or share personal information. These messages are fake and are not from Texas Health or MyChart.
Example of a Scam Message
This is an example of a scam email. Do not click links or provide personal information.
A scam message may:
- Use the MyChart name or logo
- Offer a free Medicare kit, health package, gift, or reward
- Ask you to click a link to claim an offer
- Request personal information or account details
- Pressure you to act quickly
- Come from an unfamiliar email address, phone number, or website
- Contain spelling mistakes or wording that seems unusual
What to Do If You Receive a Suspicious Message
- Check the sender. Texas Health MyChart emails are sent from:
- security@hello.texashealth.org
- donotreply@hello.texashealth.org
- Do not click any links or open attachments.
- Delete the message.
- Mark the email or text as spam or junk.
- If you clicked a link or shared information, reset your MyChart password right away.
