Driving Rehabilitation Program
Regaining the ability to drive safely can be life changing. Our Driving Rehabilitation Program, led by licensed occupational therapists, is designed to help individuals overcome physical, cognitive, or visual challenges that may affect their ability to drive.
Whether you're recovering from an injury or managing a condition that impacts driving, our goal is to support your independence and confidence on the road.
What to Expect
We offer comprehensive evaluations and training to assess and improve driving skills:
- Clinic-based assessments to evaluate physical, cognitive, and visual abilities
- Driving simulator testing (available at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth)
- On-the-road training with a certified driving specialist (available at Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital)
- Referrals for installation of adaptive equipment in your personal vehicle, if needed
