Texas Health Heart & Vascular Hospital Arlington is a joint venture, physician investor-owned company between Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital and cardiologists on the medical staff.
Texas Health Heart & Vascular Hospital Arlington, located inside Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital on the 3rd & 5th floors, is a physician-led hospital offering advanced services for the diagnosis and treatment of heart and vascular conditions. Patients who visit the emergency room at Texas Health Arlington Memorial with these conditions are transferred to the heart hospital to receive specialized care under a seamless process.
The heart hospital, which focuses on treating cardiothoracic and vascular diseases, is comprised of 48 beds, four operating rooms, two cath labs, and one electrophysiology lab. Its services will include:
Interventional cardiology
Vascular surgery
Electrophysiology, including the only robotic catheter system in the Metroplex for treating abnormal heart rhythms with more precision
Mitral valve repair surgery

Labor & Delivery/Postpartum
A support person and/ or doula may be allowed depending on the COVID-19 status of the mother, support person and/ or doula.
Neonatal ICU (NICU)
Two parents/guardians may be allowed depending upon their COVID-19 status.
Emergency Department
Effective 11/24/2020, one visitor per patient per day.
Behavioral Health
No visitors.
For safety, positive/suspected positive COVID-19 patients will not have visitors.
Available at all times, the Fresh Market Café offers
traditional vending options along with fresh fruit,
sandwiches and healthy snacks. Credit and debit
cards are accepted.

Patients who visit the emergency room at Texas Health Arlington Memorial with these conditions are transferred to the heart hospital to receive specialized care under a seamless process.

John Jayachandran, President
James JayachandranJames Jayachandran, M.D., is board certified in cardiovascular disease and clinical cardiac electrophysiology. He served his internship at the University of Tennessee Knoxville and residency at Indiana University School of Medicine, and completed fellowships in cardiovascular disease and clinical cardiac electrophysiology at Indiana University School of Medicine.
James Norcross, Chief Medical Officer
James NorcrossJames Norcross, M.D., is board certified in thoracic and cardiac surgery. He completed his undergraduate degree in psychology/zoology at Duke University and earned his medical degree at the University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine. He served his internship and residency, and completed a fellowship in cardiovascular/thoracic surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School.
