Dietetic Internship Program
Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas offers a nine-month dietetic internship, with a Medical Nutrition Therapy concentration. Since its inception in 1972, the Texas Health Dallas DI program has built a strong reputation for graduating successful dietitians.
General Surgery Residency
Our program will provide a broad surgical education by integrating various operative experiences, structured didactic sessions, and mentoring by skilled faculty. Clinical experiences add greatly to a resident's medical knowledge, diagnostic ability, and surgical confidence. These experiences include resident training with general surgical conditions related to age, gender, and socioeconomic status. Levels of clinical responsibility and of operative experience gradually increases with each year of training so that the residents develop their technical skills, clinical judgment, and interpersonal skills.
Internal Medicine Residencies
Texas Health offers multiple internal residency programs in locations throughout North Texas, including Dallas, Fort Worth, Hurst-Euless-Bedford and Denton. These programs combine academic rigor with hands-on practice and support to create well-rounded educational opportunities for residents, who will then use their skills and abilities to better their communities and pursue success in their careers.
Pharmacy Residency
There are three pharmacy programs in the Texas Health system:
- The PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Dallas is a 12-month program designed to develop general skills in inpatient and ambulatory patient care, and pharmacy practice management. Pharmacy residents are based at Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas and are affiliated with the Texas Tech School of Pharmacy.
- The PGY2 Critical Care Residency at Dallas is a 12 month program designed to develop well rounded clinical practitioners in Critical Care Pharmacotherapy. One residency position will be offered.
- The PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency at Fort Worth program builds on Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) education and outcomes to contribute to the development of clinical pharmacists responsible for medication-related care of patients with a wide range of conditions, eligible for board certification, and eligible for PGY-2 pharmacy residency training. Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth is one of two flagship hospital members of Texas Health Resources (THR), one of the largest faith-based, fully integrated, not-for-profit health care systems in Texas.
