Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas offers a 10-month dietetic internship. This program provides innovative and cutting-edge practices that will prepare participants to become entry-level dietitians. The internship program, which was begun in 1972, has built a strong reputation for graduating successful dietitians.

Texas Health Dallas is an 898-bed acute-care hospital treating some of the most complicated cases in North Texas. As a faith-based organization, it strives to be the health-care system of choice. It ranks in the 98th percentile for employee engagement and provides a thriving learning environment. 

General Program Information

  • Eight dietetic internship positions available each year
  • 95 percent pass rate on the RDN exam for the past five years (first-time test takers)
  • 100 percent of graduates seeking employment find positions within 12 months of program completion

Program Rotations

Our internship program includes clinical, administrative and community experiences. With the support of our staff, interns receive individualized training to enhance their knowledge and prepare them for hands-on experiences. Although the majority of the rotations will take place at Texas Health Dallas, interns will also have the opportunity to rotate through other facilities in the Dallas area.

At the successful completion of the dietetic internship program, graduates are eligible to sit for the registration exam through the Commission on Dietetic Registration.

Graduate Credit

Unique to the Texas Health Dallas Dietetic Internship is a variety of experiences and affiliations that make it a leader in the education of dietetic professionals. Interns will receive six hours of graduate credit through Texas Woman's University upon completion of the program.
