And because Employee Health Center services are part of the Cook Children’s health benefits program, it’s easier to stay on top of your health without added stress.

To help you maximize your health benefits, the Cook Children’s Employee Health Center provides an array of healthcare services — from wellness exams and physicals, to care for minor illnesses and injuries. Whether it’s time for a checkup, you’ve got a stomach bug, or you’re feeling a little blue, the primary care physicians, advanced practice providers, and licensed therapy professionals of Texas Health Physicians Group have you covered.
Texas Health Physicians Group has a strong record providing quality care to North Texans. Physicians and nurse practitioners are trained to treat you and your family with compassion and precision.
- Primary care essential to manage your health: Includes wellness exams, basic lab tests, and care for conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, and anxiety.
- Same-day access for minor care needs in most instances: Same-day and walk-in appointments are available for minor illness and injury care.
- Physicals and evaluations: Annual physicals and evaluations are available by appointment.
- Referrals to specialists: Get access and referral to a robust specialty network available through Texas Health Physicians Group.
- 24/7 access to your health information: Communicate with providers, request prescription refills, see test results, review your medical history, and more using your online member portal — MyChart.
For covered employees or their covered family members (18+ yrs) on the Cook Children’s HRA medical plan there is no cost. On the Cook Children’s HSA medical plan there is a $10 copay for a non-preventive visit. For employees not enrolled on the Cook Children’s medical plan there is a $10 copay for acute care (flu symptoms, earache, upper respiratory as examples). Family members of employees not on the medical plan are not eligible for this benefit, however they can utilize any THPG providers with their private insurance.
