Required rotations:

Residents are required to complete six core learning experiences. The learning experiences are scheduled by calendar month and orientation is completed during the month of July and August.

Longitudinal Learning Experiences

Residents will gain additional experiences necessary to be a clinical pharmacist through successful completion of longitudinal activities throughout the year. Each of these longitudinal learning experiences are year- long experiences with the specific activities occurring during different times and/or progressing throughout the year.

Elective Learning Experiences

Residents can further tailor their residency experience towards their interests by completing 4 elective learning experiences. Elective options include the following listed below. Additional learning experiences can be created based on preceptor availability and feasibility if a resident has a strong interest in an area not listed below.

  • Antimicrobial Stewardship
  • Cardiovascular Intensive Care
  • Oncology
  • Internal Medicine II
  • Neonatal Intensive Care
  • Neuro/trauma Intensive Care
Prospective Residents
Residents who successfully complete our program will be prepared to provide patient care, seek board certifications and pursue PGY-2 residencies.
