Longitudinal Residency Requirements and Expectations

  • Weekend staffing (every 4th weekend) – total of 26 shifts over the course of the year
  • Weekday staffing during select learning experiences – total of 25 shifts over the course of the year
  • Emergency medical response – trauma, stroke, and Code Blue
  • Provision of clinical pharmacy services, including TPN, anticoagulation, and antibiotic management
  • Completion and presentation of a pharmacy research project
  • Implementation of a cost savings project
  • Delivery of an ACPE-accredited CE presentation to Texas Health pharmacists
  • Assist in mentoring and precepting PGY-1 residents and pharmacy students
