The Nurse Intern Program at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth includes eight weeks of hands‑on clinical rotations across various inpatient units, including medical‑surgical, critical care, and specialty units. Interns will work closely with a RN preceptor and receive support from clinical leaders throughout the program. With individualized guidance and team support, interns strengthen their foundational skills and prepare for complex clinical situations. In our ninth year, we continue to shape confident, compassionate, and practice‑ready nurses.

Program Highlights:

  • Nine week paid internship; One week orientation remaining eight clinical bedside
  • 36 hours per week (excluding orientation week)
  • Weekly educational development sessions
  • Experience across multiple THFW units
  • Opportunity to network across the hospital
  • At the end of the program, ability to stay PRN as a nurse extern

Eligibility

Participants must meet the following requirements:

  • Enrollment and good standing in an accredited nursing program
  • Junior or Senior level nursing student upon application (Must have completed first semester of nursing program)
  • Availability for the full internship timeframe
  • Authorization to work in the United States
