Patients must be able to safely enter and exit the mobile unit independently, including navigating stairs without assistance. Due to the physical configuration and safety limitations of the mobile clinic, individuals who require a wheelchair for mobility or who are unable to ambulate independently cannot be served on the mobile unit. The mammography exam also requires patients to stand unassisted for approximately 10–15 minutes. These requirements are in place to ensure the safety of both patients and staff.
