
Sarah Way, M.D.
Sarah Way, M.D., J.D., serves as chief quality and medical officer at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, undertaking that role in December 2023.
Way has been an emergency room physician with TeamHealth/EMC practicing at Texas Health Dallas since 2007, and has served as president of the hospital’s medical staff and assistant director of the Emergency Department. She has been a member of numerous hospital committees — including those for Heart and Vascular Performance Improvement and Patient Safety, and Professional Practice Evaluation — and the Infectious Disease Task Force.
She has served as chair of the Behavioral Event Review Committee and is a graduate of Physicians Lead! Way received the Physician All-Star Award and has been a Physician of the Year nominee at Texas Health Dallas multiple times.
Way earned a bachelor’s degree in anthropology from Davidson College in Davidson, North Carolina, and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from California Western School of Law in San Diego. After practicing law for a year, she completed a post-baccalaureate premedical program at Scripps College in Claremont, California. Way received her Doctor of Medicine degree from the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago and completed her residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.
She and her husband, Chris, have four children, two grandchildren and two dogs. When she’s not at work, she enjoys running with her husband, cooking, traveling and — in her words — “attempting to learn gardening.”
