Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Denton is dedicated to providing information and support to help you make sense of your cancer diagnosis and treatment options. With the help of our specially trained nurses, skilled medical staff, and caring support groups, we'll help you replace fear with facts and hopelessness with healing.

We combine knowledge with skilled specialists and advanced services to give you the quality medical care you need to fight the disease. Texas Health Denton offers a full continuum of care, including diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, education, support, prevention and long-term follow-up of patients.

Texas Health Denton has an oncology clinical nurse specialist, program coordinator and breast center nurse navigator available to help.

Becky O'Shea, R.N., M.S., O.C.N., AOCNS, CBCN shares 34 years of oncology experience, knowledge and skills with cancer patients. As breast center navigator, O'Shea focuses on connecting individuals to screenings, following patients post screenings, assisting individuals through treatment as needed, and providing patient and family support. These focuses are in an effort to eliminate barriers of care, provide timely delivery of services, enhance quality of life, and improve patient/family satisfaction.

In addition to breast navigation, O'Shea navigates all cancer diagnoses for in-patient and out-patient depending on the health needs.

Support groups are an important step in recovery. Texas Health Denton hosts the Look Good Feel Better program in conjunction with the American Cancer Society. There is also a Living With Cancer support group, co-facilitated by the nurse navigator and the hospital chaplain.
