Pediatric services at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Denton

At Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Denton, we care for everyone in our community, big and small. That's why we're proud of our pediatric unit, which focuses exclusively on the medical needs of children. Pediatricians affiliated with Cook Children's have joined Texas Health Denton's medical staff to provide 24-hour care to the children of Denton and surrounding communities.

The all private, 18-bed pediatric unit is designed to offer a welcoming, child and family friendly atmosphere, with each room equipped with a television and a recliner, so parents can rest comfortably and fully participate in their children's care. The unit also houses a play room with games, toys, books and crafts.

One of the most important features of the unit is separate treatment rooms. Your children will be treated away from their patient room, so that the room they are staying in remains a safe-haven, helping to reduce stress and anxiety about being in the hospital.

Some of the illnesses we treat are:

  • Asthma
  • Bronchiolitis
  • Croup
  • Dehydration
  • Pneumonia
  • Gastroenteritis
  • Appendicitis
  • Bone fractures

The pediatric unit complements the hospital's existing maternity and neonatal services with the assurance that the health needs of your children will be met from birth and throughout their development.
